Do you love inventing data processing pipelines and optimizing that architecture for speed and efficiency? Do you enjoy analyzing data and discovering actionable patterns and trends? Work with massive datasets from mobile and web, government agencies, web crawls, social media, and dozens of proprietary data sets to create new information for our customers, new ways to understand their markets, and new tools to visualize the directions they should head.
- Design and build sophisticated systems to process, analyze, search, and visualize massive amounts of data. - Architect robust systems and write software that is highly fault tolerant, producing high quality results. - Invent innovative ways to extract intelligence from a myriad of unique data sources. - Create new information for our customers, new ways to understand their markets, and new tools to visualize the directions they should head. - Cooperatively design and document data processing systems that can be cleanly and easily maintained by a team. - Share a friendly, supportive, and reliable attitude with a great team that hold each other accountable. - Be inquisitive when you don't know something, and confident when you do. - Thrive in a fast-paced AND relaxed startup environment.
- Extremely data driven and detail oriented - Experience working with a remote development team. - Suggested 5+ years of startup/consulting experience as a programmer or system architect. - Experience with Linux & Amazon Web Services (EC2, RDS, S3, Redshift, and much more). - Extreme proficiency with: - Python for Data Processing - ETL Workflow Orchestration Utilities (like Luigi or Airflow) - SQL & Relational Databases (specifically Postgres/MySQL) - Data Warehouses (specifically Redshift/Spectrum) - Search Utilities (specifically Elasticsearch) - Architecting and operating ETL Systems in Linux & AWS - Large Scale Web Crawling & Data Processing - Familiar with executing complex data processing tasks at massive scale - Ability to test, debug, profile, and optimize software using Linux and language specific tools. - Familiar with parallelization of applications on a single machine and across a network of machines. - Experience with version control (GIT/Github/BitBucket) and Agile Project Management tools (Clickup/Jira/Confluence). - Excited by a startup environment: smart, ethical, friendly, hard-working and proactive (no exceptions). - Excited by the idea of building scalable and reliable products. - Desire to work Remotely (Current Team is in all four US time zones, Headquarters in Boca Raton, FL)
